Caitlyn's 2nd Birthday!

James' Aunt Donna remembered the girls birthday again! She is so thoughtful!!
Look how big these girls are getting? I feel like I just say that over and over again on here, but it's true!
Mom and Dad picked the girls up from school on Friday and took them to the park.
I think they had fun.
But you never know about these things.

I mean really? Is this not the most precious face ever!!
Then it was big girls official birthday!!
And Grammy brought her a balloon to hold in the car!
And made her some cupcakes :)
We also had a cookout and Charlie and Lindsey's that night and we had cake (from Publix, the best ever).
And sang happy birthday!  She wasn't so sure about it at first.
And then she looked at James like "This is ok, right?" it was the sweetest little look ever.

We also had a little impromptu play date with Rachel and Libby.  These girls are growing like weeds too!
Emily had picture day at school today.  We practiced our smile in the car.  I'm not sure which one she went with.  I guess we will see soon enough.
Caitlyn loves getting out at the school and checking out the kids on the play ground.
Later on, Mrs. Amber texted and said "yall want ice cream?" and we replied with a "you know us, right? of course we do!"  So we did this :)
 Fun times
Sweet sweet girls.  We are gearing up for our big birthday party now.  So excited!!

She said "I love it!" Before she even opened it :) thanks Uncle Brian!

Caitlyn's first day of school

James took Caitlyn to school with Emily on Friday and she was so excited to go!
She got an excellent report!

That evening we had dance moms night out :) SO much fun!!

This weekend has been so pretty and we have played outside a lot already.
This is the face of a child about to fall asleep in the swing.  This morning we had Mickey Mouse pancakes that I let them decorate with chocolate chips.  Emmy saw it on the iPad last night and did not forget.
She actually put some chocolate on hers.
Caitlyn on the other hand ate all of her chocolate and not much pancake.  Oh well it was fun!

And just so we don't forget about it later in life...when we take a couch cushion off to clean or look for something Caitlyn freaks out! Like terrified screams not just fussing.  I hate to laugh at her...but it's really funny.  And Emily just looks at her confused.  I know she's thinking "what in the world?!?" Lol

I'm gonna do it...

I had decided that I was going to do the Governors Cup Half Marathon in Columbia, SC as my first half....well the more I read about it the more the hills were looking like they could make it a little challenging.  And I was trying to talk myself out of it.

But now I have some exciting news! I am going to run the Savannah Rock and Roll Half Marathon!  Whaaaat! I'm so excited.  It's the one I originally wanted to do, I'm not sure why I didn't stick with that original plan. I think because Columbia is closer and would have been easier.  But I am SO excited!!

Now...this training plan has to get serious.  My long run this week is 8 miles.  Whoa.  :)

Weekend Roundup plus a few

Now that it's Wednesday, I'm going to finally post the pictures from this weekend.  Grammy took Caitlyn to the local craft show Friday while Emily was at school.

She loved her barbies! And was whipped by the time they went to get Emmy.

 Emmy LOVED her Barbie too!
Then they had a full afternoon of playing outside in the sandbox and doing fun Grammie's house stuff.

Then is was Saturday!  Wha wha wha day is ittttt? Game day! That's right!
And Emmy's turn to go to the craft show with Grams.
Then we had approximately 25 people to come over and watch the game with us.
Fun times.  This is Charles, the nephew of some of our friends/neighbors.  He was a great little play friend for Emily.
Look at this face....I mean there is not much more precious than this.
And Emily woke up from her nap looking for her cookies, that Daddy had eaten, so we made some microwave smores.
Monday, the girls go to go to the library with Grammy.  Then Tuesday, Emmy had school and Catie baby got go play at the gym.
With her friend Mckenzie.  My girls LOVE her!
After school, we had a big girl lunch date at Jimmy Johns.  They both sat in their own chairs and ate.  I know this might not sound like a big deal...but it was!
Caitlyn built a castle of pillows and demanded I take her picture.  She is talking more and more and is turning into such a big girl!
