Daily December: One Day Early

Look where Bee showed up this morning! The mantle.
Maybe he will get more creative as the month goes on :)

And I think I may have figured out a trick...even though Caitlyn has been sleeping excellent at night, during the day I've had to hold her for her to sleep. But now she is in her crib sleeping on her belly.  And she's still asleep.  And I'm not holding her.  Not that I'm complaining, I love some sugar but I have to be able to use both arms at some point during the day :)

Emily and I also read Caitlyn her first book today.  Emily was toting it around...
I think Caitlyn enjoyed it.  She watched while I read it to Emmy several times.

Then I thought it would be a good idea to let Emily play with an empty wrapping paper roll.  Let's just call that a learning experience :)

Catching Up

A lot of my facebook friends have been talking about their scrapbooking and doing a "Daily December" scrapbook.  I thought I would try that in blog format but first, I have to catch up!

We went to Thanksgiving in Walterboro and the girls got to spend some time with their Great-Grandma Joyce and play with my cousin's little girl Ansley.  But of course, I didn't take any pictures.  But we did cook another Thanksgiving dinner on Saturday at our house and I did manage to take a few pictures.
yummy!

A friend of mine put this on Facebook for $75...yes please!  We got it just in time to enjoy some warm weather.  It's supposed to be warm this weekend too so we will have to play with it some more!

The Gamecocks beat Clemson again this year.

Babies stretching are just THE cutest thing!

We put up the Christmas tree.

 "I can't weech it!"

And look who showed up! It's our elf!  He was originally named Candy but now his name is Bee.  I think he would like Bee much better than Candy.  CBS aired a little movie version of the book and we have watched it probably 10 times already.  It's so neat....when they look for their elf, Emily goes looking for our elf.  She is growing up so much!  We are really looking forward to all of the holiday experiences with her!
Emily was singing to Caitlyn "I love you a bushel and a peck and a hug around the neck!" Caitlyn loves watching Emily sing and talk.  She smiles so big!

 So. Precious.

Two Months

Caitlyn is changing so fast!  She is 2 months old already.

At her 2 months appointment she was 24 1/2 inches long and 11.4 pounds.  That's the 95th percentile for height and 50th for weight.  She was also in the 50th-75th percentile for her head circumference.  She also had to get her first set of shots.  It wasn't fun but she did good.  The last one stung her poor little self.

If you haven't been there, go!

And today we made...

I can NOT believe Emmy let me paint the bottom of her feet and she held still. Wonders never cease I guess.

I've also made...

And this weekend I'm going to make...

Sorry for the screen shots but I don't know how to embed from my phone.

Around the house

Maybe a week ago Emily fell asleep standing up. I didn't think it was possible, but it was after a playgroup day so I know she was tuckered. (Forgive me if I've shared that already. :) it's just precious!

These are the flowers James sent me for our anniversary.  They are so pretty and perfect!

And Caitlyn actually took a nap in her crib.  She's already slept in it more than Emily.  Sad but true.

Happy Girl :)

She LOVES kicking!  She can swat at the stuff but not grab yet of course.  She's also cooing a lot more in the last couple of days.  She's growing so fast!

Then today, the child fell asleep standing up again! We must just have too much fun!

We have visitors!

Allison and Brian passed through for a visit.
Emmy ended up looking like the naked cowboy :)

Grandma Pat also came and brought some Christmas dresses for the girls.  (thank you!!!)
AND Caitlyn her first hairbow!
She's had enough hair for one since she was born, but for some reason I just hadn't put one in.  This one is precious!  Thanks again Grandma Pat!
