Phone pics update

Target is having their 75% off clearance toys right now. Emmy might have racked up. Christmas and birthday are all taken care of and this buggy load only cost $49.

Last week Grammy let Emmy have a big time in a mud puddle. Probably the time of her life :)

Getting Ready

Emily and I spent this morning working in the nursery a little.  The wooden birds and name that I ordered from Etsy came in yesterday and I had to put them up.  They turned out so cute!  This picture just doesn't do it justice!

On another note, one of our neighbors has a little girl one year older than Emily and has started selling some of her outgrown clothes on facebook.  SCORE!  This is one of the outfits that we got and she's already worn it 2 or 3 times.
Getting ready for Aunt Carin's baby shower.

Swinging on Grandaddy's back porch.

Then one day last week, Emily got away with one of my eyeliner pencils.  By thetime I tracked her down, she had made several dots above her eye.  This child is always paying attention.

Waiting on uncle Brian to get here and getting a little dinner at the pizza joint.

"go swinging"

One of Emmys favorite things to do now is swing. So Gammie bought her a swing for their back yard. Here's a video of the trial run :) (hope it works!)

All Clear

Emily had her 2 week checkup for her ear-infection today.  She got the all clear, perfect ear drums :) While we were there, the nurse brought something to my attention that I'm not very excited about.

A few months ago, they ran blood tests to see if Emmy had food allergies and she was allergic to peanuts and eggs.  We were told they were both a four (I think) on a scale of nine (I think?).   She still eats stuff with eggs in it, just not like brownie mix or anything that's only eggs (scrambled).  And she can eat the m&m's out of the trail mix bag with peanuts and not have problems.  But today, it was brought to light that she can't get a flu shot this year because of the egg allergy!  Being a huge proponent and giver of flu shots, I am not liking this news.  Plus we will be having the new baby right at flu season.  So take this as notice, if you are coming into our house from September to February, you better have your flu shot!! And if you feel the least bit achy or flu-ish...stay away!  bummer

On a happier note, we are getting much closer to the arrival of baby Caitlyn!  I ordered a few last items for the nursery and then we will have the reveal :)  Here's a sneak peek...

(of course, I will have to edit details :)

July

It has been so hot this summer! Thank goodness Emily's Grammy and Daddy feel bad for her, or she would never get to go outside. This is what we do during the day:

Sometimes a cardboard box is a lot more fun than it should be.

The Gamecocks won the college world series again, I give our favorite cheerleader complete credit!

And we went to the lake for July 4th, on July 3rd because I had to work the holiday.  It was a fun day and Emmy had a great time "fwimin".

Today, we watched the shuttle Atlantis take off into space for the last time.  It's weird to think that we are so used to seeing them launch and Emily probably won't even remember it.  She watched it though!

We have also been working on Caitlyn's room, so hopefully soon we will get some pictures up.

Found this lamp on walmart.com

It looks exactly like this lamp...

From potterybarn.com for a fraction of the price. Hopefully it will look like their quality too when it gets here.

We have been battling our first ear infection this week. We had quite a streak...made it almost 21 months. After a few days of amoxicillin her fever is starting to go away I think. Thank goodness! Poor baby never pulled on her ears or complained or anything. Just had a fever and was clingy. Bless her heart!

I had my glucose test this morning, so hopefully only good news will come from that.:)

(I'll try to have real pictures next time)
