Go Gamecocks!

James and I went to the Carolina game this weekend and acted like we were on vacation in Columbia :)

It was super fun!
I missed these babies so much though!

The proofs for Christmas pictures came back :)

 Everybody loves a free cookie!

We had to wait for the shoe store to open.  She was my little helper :)  I'm finally starting to feel somewhat back to normal after Savannah. I was not anticipating that whole recovery thing.  I guess I was thinking it would be optional....not so much.  I actually printed out the Smartcoach training plan to get ready for the GRU Half Marathon in Augusta in February. :) Kind of exciting!!

Rock N' Roll Half Marathon Recap

The shuttle picked us up from the hotel at 5am. And it was cold.  Really cold. And dark.

There was so many people and it was so exciting! I wasn't really nervous though.
This was a little bit of a hill and you could see people for forever!  Obviously, running and taking pictures at the same time doesn't really work.
So I stole some pics from the Savannah Morning News website.
This lady and I'm assuming her grandson were out in their front yard at about mile 2 shaking a leg.  People had cow bells and signs all along the course and it made it pass so much faster!
I tried to take a picture of this church too but it didn't come out :)
I couldn't believe how fast it was over.  My time on my app said exactly 2 hours.

But my official time was 2:01.  Didn't quite make my goal but I did beat my brothers time (=win). ;)

I finished 2,757 of 11,408 (24th percentile) overall, 1339 of 7954 (16th percentile) women and 260 of 1,364 (19th percentile) in my age group. Barely missed that medal lol.
On the bus back to Tybee to the hotel you could see the marsh that our old condo backs up to.  It was right to the left of that hotel looking building.  This whole trip was like a walk down memory lane and really made me miss living in Savannah!
After the race we packed up really quick, hit up Sunrise for the breakfast buffett (best grits ever) and headed to my cousins baby shower.  It has been YEARS! like 15 years since the four of us girls have been in the same place at the same time.
 Then we were headed hom!
Daddy James must have had all the faith in the world in me because he set this up before he left for work.
And he left this for the girls.  He is so sweet :)
And last but not least, how creepy is this? Emily did it herself and came be bopping around the corner. Scared me to death!

Savannah Trip with the Girls

We got to the expo along with everybody else in the world :)

Then we went back to mine and James roots and took a little tour of Wilmington island.

We used to go that Mexican restaurant all the time!

And this place. Basils. So. Good.

I had forgotten they had a kids room with a tv where you can watch the kids.
That's my kids on the tv where we used to go on all of our dates. Wow.

Same decorations

Fro-yo

Caitlyn said "so nummy is my tummy"

Then we had to go take a picture in front of our first home.  It does not seem like it's been all that long since we have been there.

Road to tybee

And of course they have to sit in the nasty hotel bathtub :(
(We lined it with a towel yuk)

I might be able to talk Grammy into going to eat one more time today. Then the big race in the am! I am so excited!

Oh and the girls have taken to calling momma grandma. As in "Shake and bake grandma! Let's go!" :)

Halloween

I had to make sure this picture got in, Emily ran up to me after the Broad Street Ramble and she was so sweet :)
The weather has been really nice so we have been able to hang out outside a lot.  Please excuse the beer box they were actually toting around random toys in it.
Halloween started with Emily's school party.
They had some arts and crafts.

And Caitlyn even got to join in the fun.

Time to line up to go on their costume parade.

Caitlyn jumped right on in there.
She even got to do story time.
Sweet Mae Mae got to come too!

Caitlyn loved being one of the big kids and Emily's classmates were super sweet to her.
Then it was time to dress up for trick-or-treating.
Grammy set Emmy up with some eye makeup :)
And we had to get Grandaddy some medicine. Holy moly he's been sick for forever.
Saturday we went to watch the football at a friends house and Caitlyn made her way around the whole place having everybody read to her.  Emily and I made an awesome lego fort.
Then the girls got to go over to Grammie's house and hang out.
 And make cookies!

Grammie is so good to these girls.  I'm glad we have a lot of pictures so they will know when they get older.
We finished up Daddy's staycation week hanging out at the house.  Emily actually fell asleep like this.
Even with Caitlyn cheesing it up she was still zonked out.
 Sweet girls :)
